Zakaria, Nyarko evicted from MTN Soccer Academy

Patrons of the popular MTN Soccer Academy Skuulz Challenge 2 had the shock of the night when two teammates got evicted in last Sunday’s Eviction Show, further reducing  to 10 the number of teammates left in the competition.

The first to exit was 22-year-old Mujeeb Zakaria (Teammate No. 5) from the Northern School of Business. He showed so much confidence throughout the Show and was least expected to be evicted. With his head bowed, he picked his school flag, responded to cheers from the crowd and made his way into the tunnel.       

Joining Zakaria through the exit door was Desmond Nyarko (Teammate No.1) from the Cape Coast Polytechnic, described by Academy coach, Yaw Preko, as a “fine player”.

Before the eviction, the teammates put up great performances in the night’s 5-a-side match between Team MTN and Team OMP, which ended 1-1.

Evans Oko Armah (Teammate No. 2) from the St Thomas Aquinas Senior 

High School was adjudged the new captain of the Academy House, which spares him eviction at the next show on Sunday.
