Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) chairman, Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe, has advised the association to slam the Black Stars door against ex-coach, Kwasi Appiah because, to him, he had been tried, tested and failed.

A search party for the replacement of the Stars’ departed coach, Avram Grant, is scheduled to present its final report any moment with the Al Khartoum of Sudan coach (Appiah) said to be the favourite among the list of applicants.

Black Stars video analyst goes berserk

The video analyst for Black Stars, Gerard Nus, caused a stir at the Swiss Spirit Hotel and Suites Alisa Accra last Saturday when he refused to settle a debt of about GHc5,000 arising from his seven-week stay at the facility at North Ridge.

Nus had lodged at the hotel since Ghana returned from the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Gabon and refused to return to his native Spain until he received fully all unpaid bonuses owed him by the Ghana Football Association.

Graphic's Samuel Konadu Games - Technical Services are champs

A contingent of well conditioned athletes from the Technical Services Department of the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) last Saturday shrugged off competition from colleagues in the  other units to win the 2017 inter-departmental Health Walk and Fun Games held at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra.

The annual competition, dubbed "Samuel Konadu Cup", saw the Technical Services team win eight events out of 20, amassing 35 points against defending champions G-Pak, who could only manage 19 points to place second.

Ghanaian youngster Latif Blessing scored his first competitive goal since moving to the United States for Swope Park Rangers as they thrashed Energy FC 3-1 on Saturday at the Children’s Mercy Victory Field in Swope Soccer Village.

Blessing, 20, is originally a player of Sporting Kansas City but turned out on-loan for their affiliate team Swope Park Rangers in the lower-tier United Soccer League.
