Aspire Football Dreams 2014 launched
About 50 footballers will converge on the El Wak Sports Stadium in Accra on September 15 for a selection exercise to choose three outstanding players to represent the country in Senegal as part of the Aspire Football Dreams recruitment event.
Speaking at the launch in Accra, Captain Andy Sam, Country Director of Aspire Football Dreams, said it was gratifying to see most of the players recruited in the previous editions performing well at their various clubs in Europe.

“Players such as Emmanuel Asamoah and Paul Quaye are all performing well in their respective clubs in Europe and that shows the good work we are doing here,” he stated.
He was confident this year’s edition would also unearth young talented footballers, who would be sent to Aspire Football Academy in Senegal to continue with their careers.
Mr Mahama Ayariga, Minister of Youth and Sports, pledged the ministry’s support for the initiative and expressed government’s intentions to build soccer academies across the country to help unearth young athletes.
