Beach soccer: Mighty Warriors defeat Sunset Sports

Defending Champions, Keta Sunset Sports, last Saturday lost 1-2 to Havedzi Mighty Warriors in their opening match of this year’s Cal Bank Beach Soccer at the Labadi Pleasure Beach.

Sunset Sports, who were looking forward to maintaining the trophy they won last season had their hopes shattered as goals from Kudadah Sampson and Torsu Michael were enough to deflate their ambition

Dansoman Beach Soccer Club  also proved too strong for newly promoted Gulf Powers by thrashing them 3-0, while last year’s Division One winners, Teshie United, also  lost to East Legon Sharks by 4-2, with Uriel Appienti netting a hatrick.

Ada Assurance played an excellent game by demolishing NIma Beach Soccer Club 5-2 ,  with Layoca Beach Soccer Club accounting for Wuo Gb33  3-2. 

In the Division One competition,  Golden Eagles thrashed Cape Coast 6-1, Winneba Giants lost 3-2 to African Angels with Tegbi Youth, Tema United, Nungua United, Senya Sharks, Chorkor Blue Whales and Osu Dolphins all recording walkovers  against their respective teams.
