Boateng puts Barca to the sword, Asamoah wins sixth Scudetto
Striker Emmanuel Okyere Boateng made all the headlines in Europe over the weekend as his hat-trick helped Levante to defeat Barcelona 5-4 and end the Catalans’ unbeaten run in the La Liga, while Kwadwo Asamoah won his sixth Italian Serie A title (Scudetto) to end a successful spell at Juventus.
Also, Elvis Manu, Frank Acheampong and David Atanga were all on target for their respective clubs, whilst Baba Rahman returned to action for the first time in 16 months.

Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew suffered relegation as they started for Swansea in search of a miracle to survive the English topflight. The brothers featured for Swansea who lost 1-2 at home to already relegated Stoke City, with Andre providing the assist for Andy King’s 14th minute opening goal.
In the Championship playoff, Albert Adomah Dankwa was replaced in the 71st minute by Ivorian Jonathan Kodjia as Aston Villa continued their dominance over Middlesbrough with a 1-0 away win at Riverside.

Elsewhere in the La Liga Santander, Emmanuel Okyere Boateng was the hero of the day at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia as he scored a rare hat-trick in Levante’s 5-4 win over Barcelona — the Catalans’ first league defeat this season.
Mubarak Wakaso was introduced in the 53rd minute as Deportivo Alaves continued their late fine form with a convincing 3-1 win over Atletic Bilbao.
Thomas Partey returned to the midfield for Atletico Madrid as they pipped Getafe 1-0 in the capital derby.

Alfred Joseph Duncan masterminded the fall of his former club Inter Milan as he controlled the Sassuolo midfield effectively in their 2-1 win at the Giuseppe Meaza Stadium. Right-back Claud Adjepong was also in action for Sassuolo.
Wing-back Kwadwo Asamoah celebrated another Scudetto
(Italian Serie A title) as an unused substitute for Juventus who claimed their seventh successive Scudetto after a goalless draw with AS Roma.
Holding midfielder Isaac Cofie started for Genoa as the skipper of the day but could not help his side from losing 0-1 to already relegated Benevento who featured Bright Gyamf:

Godfred Donsah was on the losing side as he returned to action after a month-long layoff albeit for 15 minutes as Bologna were beaten 2-1 by Chievo Verona.
Afriyie Acquah came in for Iago Falque on the stroke of full time as Torino defeated Spal 2-1 in Turin.
Meanwhile in the Serie B, ex-Wa All Stars defender Bright Addae played the full game for Ascoli who moved just above the drop zone following a 1-0 win at Pescara.

Midfielder Moses Odjer started from the bench again as a replacement for Ivorian Jean-Daniel Akpa-Akpro as Salernitana defeated Foggia 1-0.

At the Veltins Arena in Gelsinkirchen, Baba Rahman returned to competitive action after nearly one-and-a-half-year layoff to feature for 33 minutes for Schalke in their 1-0 over Eintracht Frankfurt. Rahman replaced Yevheniy Konoplyanka in the 57th minute while former Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng featured for the visiting side.
Towering central defender Gideon Jung suffered relegation as SV Hamburg were demoted from the Bundesliga for the first time in their history despite defeating Borussia Monchengladbach 2-1.
