Cagliari target Chelsea flop Christian Atsu
Newly-Promoted Italian Serie A side, Cagliari are hoping to secure the services of Ghanaian international, Christian Atsu on loan.
The ambitious Italian club are confident of landing the talented Ghanaian winger especially after he was declared surplus to requirements by new Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte.
Atsu failed to impress Conte in three pre-season games and was left-out of Conte’s 30-man squad for a pre-season tour of the USA.
If Cagliari are successful with their bid, they will be the fifth club Atsu will have played for on loan since joining Chelsea in 2013.
He has been loaned out to Vitesse, Everton, Bournemouth and Malaga since joining the Blues three years ago from FC Porto.
Atsu's current Chelsea contract is expected to keeps him at Stamford Bridge till 2018.
