Colombia 2024: Black Princesses move camp to Accra ahead of departure

THE Black Princesses, Ghana's U-20 women's national football team, are set to move their training camp to Accra today as they finalise preparations for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.

The team has been based in Cape Coast since June 27, where they have focused on refining strategies, improving tactical strength, and conditioning ahead of the prestigious tournament.

Later today, they will play a friendly match at the Accra Sports Stadium before departing for Colombia. 

This match is seen as a crucial part of their final preparations, offering the team a chance to fine-tune their performance ahead of the World Cup.

The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup will take place in Colombia from August 31 to September 22, 2024. 

The Black Princesses will commence their campaign on Monday, September 2, against Austria. They will also face Japan and New Zealand in Group E, with hopes of advancing through the group stages to compete for the title.

The team’s move to Accra and their upcoming friendly are expected to generate excitement and support from fans as the Black Princesses gear up for their international challenge.
