Heart of Lions part ways with coach amidst struggles
Heart of Lions FC have announced the departure of coach Fatawu Salifu, effective immediately, following a mutual agreement to terminate his contract.
The decision follows the club's abysmal performance in the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, where they remain winless with five losses and eight draws in 13 games.

In a statement issued yesterday on X (formerly known as Twitter), the Kpando-based club acknowledged and expressed gratitude to the coach for his role in securing their promotion to the top flight after an eight-year absence.
Lions, that occupy the bottom spot on the league table, currently have eight points out of a possible 39.
With Salifu's departure, he becomes the third coaching casualty in the league this season. Earlier, Michael Osei was dismissed by Bibiani Goldstars, which subsequently appointed Frimpong Manso as his replacement. Manso also parted ways with Bofoakwa Tano last month after a poor run of results.
