Kotoko call Tumu bluff. Hearts no match at Samreboi

 It was a sweet and sour saga for giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, last Saturday as Kotoko called the bluff of Tumu Real 24 Hours FC in their backyard only for the Phobians to be bundled out by Division One Samartex in their MTN FA Cup round of 32 thriller at Samreboi.

Contrary to expectations, Kotoko tamed their Division Two opponents, Real 24 Hours FC, 2-0 at Tumu, courtesy Obed Owusu’s strikes, while Samartex forced a barren draw with Hearts, leading to a 4-2 victory on penalties.

• At Sogakope, WAFA beat visiting Karela United 1-0; Asokwa Deportivo 1, Ashantigold 1 (4-2 on penalties); Wa All Stars 0, Techiman City 0 (5-4 on penalties); Okwahu United 2, Dunkwa United 1; 

• Emmanuel FC 2, Inter Allies 1; Elmina Sharks 0, Ebusua Dwarfs 0 (6-5 on penalties); Hasaacas 0, Okyeman Planners 0 (7-6 on penalties); Bechem United 5, Liberty Babies 0; and Real Tamale United 3, Steadfast FC 2.

• The rest are: AC Milan 1, Mighty Royals 1 (4-5 on penalties); Storm Academy 1, Kotoku Royals 0; Pure Joy 1, Liberty Professionals 1 (6-7 on penalties); True Democracy 1, Accra Youth 0; and Power Sporting Club 1, Wa Rockets 1 (4-5 on penalties).
