And quite unsual, the Filipino boxer has been keen to show off he’s in the best condition of his life, with a series of posts in the last few weeks showing off his impeccable athletic body.
In the most recent Instagram post, he said: ‘16 days to go. I'm ready to get it on. #MayPac.’
Mayweather has also stepped up his own promotional campaign, as the undefeated world champion puts his 47-0 record on the line.
Pacquiao has, meanwhile, revealed that he is not totally satisfied with the economic split between the two fighters.
Mayweather will be taking 60 per cent of the event’s profits while Pacquiao will receive 40 per cent, which the Filipino maintained was not a fair split and something he only agreed to in order to make the fight that fans have waited for 5-6 years to see finally happen.
“If my concern was myself alone, I didn’t think of the fans, then the fight would have been hard to happen,” Pacquiao explained during his recent media day workout.

“Because of course, I don’t want to take 60-40, a disadvantage and everything. I agreed with that for the sake of the fans. I agreed to make the fight happen.”
