PSG won’t survive at Nou Camp

A first half goal from Neymar and two more from Luis Suarez after the break in the first leg in Paris saw Barcelona in command with the only crumb of comfort for PSG being a late consolation when Mathieu put through his own net.

Only three yellow cards were shown, Cabaye for PSG and Messi and Pique for Barca and a total corner count of eight was split four a piece.

Other than a group stage defeat at PSG back in September, Barca have been foot perfect in Europe this season. They won all five of their other group matches including a 3-1 victory over PSG in the return at Camp Nou before beating Manchester City home(1-0) and away (2-1) in the Round of 16.

The stats show Barca have lost just one of their last 32 Champions League home games, a 3-0 hiding from Bayern in the second leg on the 2013 semi-finals and Barca were 4-0 down from the first leg of that tie and pretty much threw the towel in. Barca fell at the quarter final stage of this competition last season, losing 2-1 on aggregate to Ateltico whilse they also came unstuck in a 2012 semi final meeting with Chelsea. —  UEFA
