Medeama SC to face Remo Stars in CAF Champs League

Ghana Premier League champions, Medeama SC, have been drawn to face Nigerian side, Remo Stars, in the preliminary stage of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League.

The draw of the inter-club competition which took place in Cairo on Tuesday has pit the two clubs of the rival countries against each other.

Ghana and Nigeria have intense football rivalry, and this would be another opportunity to rekindle that rivalry.

The Ghanaian champions are expected to open their campaign against Remo Stars at the Cape Coast Stadium before traveling to Nigeria for the return leg.

The first games would be played from August 18-20 with the return leg scheduled for August 25-27.

Winner of this encounter is expected to face Guinean side, Horoya AC in the second preliminary round to secure a place in the group stages.

The second preliminary round is secheduled for September 15-17 while the return comes off between September 29 and October 1.
