The chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA), Nii Komiete Doku, says he expects to be retained for the next four years after achieving a lot for the sport in the region.

Nii Doku, who took office after the demise of the late Jordan Angblah in 2012, is being challenged by Eugene Jacquaye in their upcoming RFA elections on Monday.

In an interview with the Daily Graphic, the incumbent said "I expect my people to retain me in office after acheiving a lot for the region".

"Football management is about experience and after serving our late chairman, Jordan Anagblah for years,  I believe I'm the best candidate to lead the association".

However, he said he believed his opponent wouldn't be a match to him on the day since the delegates will vote on merits and achievements.

Talking about achievement, Nii Doku noted that, Dreams FC have been able to qualify for the top flight from the region during his reign as the chairman.

He promised to render accounts on the association, which, he said, will bring transparency during his leadership.
