Over 500 join first-ever Corporate in Motion Wellness event in Accra

A major new wellness initiative has taken centre stage in Accra, with Accra Financial Centre, Stanbic Heights and the Standard Chartered Building jointly hosting the inaugural Corporate in Motion event.

The programme, held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, brought together more than 500 participants in an energetic celebration of workplace wellbeing and community engagement.

The three Grade A commercial office destinations, all managed by Broll Ghana Ltd, collaborated to curate the first event of its kind across their properties. The effort positioned their landlords Agridev Real Estate Ltd, Fairllop Property Developers Ltd and Clubhouse Ghana Ltd as early leaders in corporate wellness within Ghana’s real estate sector.

Conceived as a tenant-centred initiative, Corporate in Motion was designed to nurture a culture where wellness is prioritised, staff feel valued and community bonds are strengthened. Tenants, employees, partners and members of the wider community responded enthusiastically, turning the event into a lively display of unity and shared purpose.

Participants took part in a wide range of fitness activities suitable for all levels. The programme featured a 10-kilometre run and walk from Accra Financial Centre to Stanbic Heights, a 5-kilometre run and walk via Independence Avenue, a 10-kilometre cycling challenge and a tranquil rooftop yoga session at Stanbic Heights titled Yoga on the Tower. At the end of the event, the Accra Financial Centre was crowned Overall Best Tower, an accolade recognising the building with the highest participation, team spirit and engagement.

Ahead of the main event, tenants and staff from the three buildings also competed in a month-long Step Count Challenge that encouraged daily physical activity and camaraderie. Edward Nii Adu Armah emerged the overall winner and was honoured for his exceptional commitment throughout the challenge.

Reflecting on the success of the maiden edition, Janet Ghartey, Senior Property Manager for the three properties, said: “Corporate in Motion represents more than a wellness event it reflects our promise to create workplaces where people feel valued, energised and connected. Our tenants are at the heart of everything we do, and this initiative is part of our continuous effort to build strong corporate communities that prioritise health, productivity and collaboration. We are grateful to our landlords, partners, sponsors and participants for believing in this vision and helping us bring it to life.”

The event was powered by several key sponsors, including Broll Ghana Ltd, Samsung Ghana, DHL, The Bank Hospital, the Accra Metropolitan Assembly and Decathlon Ghana. Their contributions enriched the overall experience and underscored growing corporate support for healthier working environments. Lyf Arena, the wellness platform under Strategic Solutions Plus Ghana, played an instrumental role in delivering the programme on the day.

Organisers say Corporate in Motion has set a new benchmark for workplace wellness in Ghana’s corporate space and laid the foundation for a more expansive and inclusive programme in the years ahead. The participating buildings, together with their landlords and partners, have reaffirmed their commitment to building a thriving corporate community where wellbeing is not only encouraged but celebrated.
