The veteran fighter, who is at the twilight of his career, will face off with Beninois boxer, Andrews Amuzu, in  the main bout for the night for the  vacant West Africa light heavyweight title.

Powers, whose bout with Braimah Kamoko, alias Bukom Banku, rekindled national interest in the sport, has signed  a  three-fight contract with soccer academy side, Unity Park.

The contract, worth GH¢50,000.00, is expected to boost the morale of the Australia-based Ghanaian fighter and boost his chances ahead of a proposed rematch with Kamoko.

Should he win all three bouts, Landmark Promotions will set up a rematch between him and Braimah Kamoko who, according to the promoters, will be at the ringside to watch Ayittey Powers on January 3.
