Razak's strike secures point for Olympics
Accra Great Olympics needed a late Kazam Razak's goal to share the spoils with Elmina Sharks in a 1-1 draw game played at the Nduom Sports Stadium in Elmina Sunday.
Elmina Sharks on the other hand needed the maximum points to move away from the relegation zone, and when Tahir Mensah struck on the stroke of half time for the host, it was expected that they could guard it to the end of the game.
Unfortunately, the solitary lead was cancelled after recess when Razak turned the hero for the ‘Dade boys' with a fine strike.
Aduana Stars triumph
A different story was witnessed at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa-Ahenkro where Aduana Stars kept their home invincibility intact with a 2-0 win over visiting Dreams FC.
Sam Adams and Bright Adjei scored the two goals in the first half to put the host in a comfortable lead before the interval.
Resilient hosts
Aduana Stars were the better side in the first half, having dominated the exchanges and created several chances but it was Dreams FC goalkeeper, Godfred Amoah, who denied Adams what would have been the opener.
Three minutes before recess the deadlock was finally broken following a brilliant build up from the Aduana Stars team before Adams finished it off.
When the team returned from the interval the visitors came with a different approach and made a number of incursions into the hosts' penalty box but the resolute defence of Aduana Stars kept them at bay till the end of the game.
