Santasi and Ejisu to clash in MTN Ashantfiest final

Santasi and Ejisu would clash in the grand finale of this year’s MTN Ashantifest football gala to battle for the GH20,000 price money at stake on Sunday at the Dechemso Otumfuo park.

The two teams have been the side to beat in the competition this year and after a display passion and individual brilliance in their respective semi-final games, they would clash for the enviable crown.

Even though Ejisu had been phenomenal throughout the competition, they came against a formidable opponent in Kwadaso during their semi-final game at the Dechemso Otumfuo park.

After playing 1-1 in regulation time, the two sides had to be separated via penalties and it was Ejisu who triumphed 5-4 to pick the slot to the final.

The contest in the other semi-final game between Dechemso and Santasi was enthralling as the two teams gave the fans a lot to cheer about.

The six-goal thriller the game end 3-3 after host community, Dechemso, had been tipped to win the day but when it when to penalty shootout, it was Santasi that prevailed with a 4-3 win to qualify for the final.

Before the grand finale, there would be a third-place clash between Kwadaso and Dechemso at the same venue on Sunday.
