Seven Princes SHS win Sports festival
The Senior High School (SHS) division of Seven Great Princes Academy took most honours in the annual sports festival of the institute which climaxed last Friday at the Dansoman campus of the school.
The three-day competition, which started at the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex, saw Seven Great SHS emerging as the overall champions after winning five out of the seven disciplines, including football, basketball, volleyball and scrabble.
The Lartebiorkorshie JHS branch of the school placed second, while the Dansoman JHS came third.
The annual competition pits the three branches of the school against each other in football , volleyball, basketball, ludo, oware, scrabbble, sack race, lime and spoon and table tennis.
Daniel Boateng received the Asamoah Gyan trophy for being the best player, while Frank Owusu took the most promising star trophy.
The Discovery of the tournament went to Emmanuel Williams, while Derrick Amoah won the most outstanding player award.
The competition is aimed at identifying young talents and harnessing them for the national teams, as well as helping them to build professional careers.
