Vincent Torgah showed class with consistent performance over four days to win the UT Bank Independence Challenge golf tournament at the Tafo Golf Club, edging out veteran Emos Korblah to earn the accolade Golfing Gladiator.

The competition was the third in the series in the Quest 2014 Professional Golf Tour on the lush, deceptively difficult and yet challenging course at Tafo which started on a rainy 57th Ghana Independence Day as Ivorian pro golfer R. Kouassi and Torgah led the leaderboard on the first day jointly with a score of 68, two strokes under par (-2).
The competition grew intense in the subsequent days with the leader board changing until Torgah’s consistency proved decisive. His early performance set the tone when he closed with (-2) and then pushed up further on the third day, with one stroke under par (-1) that earned him a total score of 282 to win for the ultimate and make it two back-to-back wins on the tour and the leader of the Abaloo Ranking.
