We need Stars trio back
Soccer administrator, Al Hajj Tanko Abu Seidu Barry, says the Black Stars can win the 2015 African Cup of Nations if the experienced trio of Kevin-Prince Boateng, Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari are included in the squad for the tournament.
The midfield trio misconducted themselves at the 2014 World Cup, leading to the expulsion of Muntari and Boateng from the Ghana camp in Brasilia prior to Ghana’s last group match against Portugal.

However, Al Hajj Tanko believes the services of the three veteran players are vital in Ghana’s quest to conquer Africa again after 33 years’ wait.
He noted with disappointment calls by some former footballers, including Marcel Desailly, that the trio should be excluded from future national team call-ups.
He said: “We need some of these players if we are to mount a serious challenge at the AFCON in Equatorial Guinea. Currently, we have a youthful squad with a lot of energy, and Boateng, Essien, Muntari and Adam Kwarasey possess the experience to complement the efforts of the youngsters.”
“I admit that issues have to be resolved after the happenings in Brazil. The Stars have a new management and these players are willing to don the national colours.
“I am glad that the new coach, Avram Grant, has gone on an European tour to visit the players and I hope something positive will come out of it,” he said.
The Black Stars begin their quest for the elusive AFCON title with a tie against Senegal on January 19 at the Estadio de Mongomo in Equatorial Guinea.
