AiScarecrow Technologies uses AI to protect cereal farms from pest birds

AiScarecrow Technologies Ltd, a Ghanaian agritech company, is revolutionising crop protection for cereal farmers through artificial intelligence (AI)-powered solutions.

The company, which is backed by the Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC), has developed smart, eco-friendly, and automated bird-scaring systems that help farmers combat pest birds while promoting sustainable agriculture.

AiScarecrow’s innovative approach involves AI-powered monitoring systems and automated deterrents, including drones, to keep farmlands free from bird infestations. 

This technology significantly reduces crop losses, improves yields, and fosters a more sustainable agricultural ecosystem.

The company’s growth has been bolstered by support from KIC, having won funding in the 2019 KIC AgriTech Challenge Classic. 

Through mentorship and access to vital industry networks, AiScarecrow has expanded its operations, refined its technology, and increased its impact among farmers.
