Valley View, UCC, UEW qualify for TBSC semi-finals
Valley View University (VVU) secured its first-ever semi-final spot in the Graphic Business Tertiary Business Sense Challenge (TBSC) yesterday, edging out Heritage Christian University 30–26 in a tightly contested match held at Zenith University College in Accra.
After a slow start by both schools in the first two rounds, the competition gained momentum in the third round—dubbed the 'Business Case of the Day'—where Heritage Christian University (HCU) scored four out of 10, narrowly edging past Valley View University (VVU), which scored three.
In the fourth round, known as 'The Graphic Business Section', HCU extended their lead by 12 points, while VVU managed seven.
A similar trend continued in the fifth round, but in the thrilling final round—‘Riddles’—VVU’s team, made up of Bright Peprah Yeboah, Elvis Boateng, Victoria Tuffour Boateng and Credo Mississino, showcased their prowess to outshine HCU’s quartet of Rose Clare Larbie, Elizer Sackitey, Gloria Akoto, and Priscilla Frimpong, to secure the win.
More thrills
Before this cagey affair, Wisconsin International University College’s quartet of Ninola Rufus Aromolaran, Onyina Kofi Nyantakyi, Israel Deladem Agbemenu and Samuel Okaijah Okai were no match for the powerful University of Cape Coast (UCC) quartet, comprising Charles Williams Obeng Mensah, James Dordan Nyataaba, MacLean Kraka and Alfred Akwada, who recorded an emphatic 67-33 victory.
