Nigeria to host 2014 Borderless Alliance Conference

The third annual conference of the Borderless Alliance, dubbed “Borderless 2014”, takes place at the Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria from February 26 to 28, 2014.

Under the theme, “Enabling Growth”, Borderless 2014 would be co-hosted by the Nigerian Export – Import Bank (NEXIM) and the Nigeria Shippers Council, members of the Borderless Alliance. 

The conference will engage participants in an informative programme of high-profile speakers, facilitate networking and business opportunities for participants and also provide attractive exhibition and marketing opportunities for sponsors, as well as participants. 

It will feature two days of experience-based knowledge sharing, scheduled interaction, informal networking and evidence -based advocacy methodologies to produce recommendations to achieve the objectives of Borderless Alliance. During the conference, the General Assembly of Borderless Alliance members will elect a new executive committee for a two-term.

The participants will include experts, high-level businessmen and women, experienced transport and logistics specialists, development partners, national governments, supply chain professionals, multinational companies, bankers, port management officials and investors across a wide range of industries. 

"The Borderless 2014 conference in Lagos will be well-positioned to reach the developing markets in the Sub-region from the commercial heart of West Africa. It will also be the most important advocacy and informational event around,” Mr Ziad Hamoui, the President of the Borderless Alliance said.

Background of Borderless Alliance

The Borderless Alliance, a regional advocacy organisation established in 2011, works to promote and facilitate cross-border trade and reduce procedural inefficiencies. Borderless Alliance has a membership of more than 50 private sector companies working hand in hand with public institutions, civil societies and the media in West Africa to increase trade.
