The initiative, which formed part of the corporate social responsibility of the Internal Audit Department of the bank, covered areas such as tiling, painting and changing of the doors and windows.

The bank also provided a television set and some branded clocks for the enhanced charge office.

The Head of the Internal Audit Department of the bank, Mr  Ebenezer Baffoe told the media after handing over the facility to the Police, that the move was part of efforts to support the Police service in its training activities.

“This endeavor is to show our appreciation to the Ghana Police Service for the support they provide us at uniBank Ghana Limited and also encourage them in undertaking the complex task of providing security to the nation.” he assured.

He said the bank would continue to provide good services to satisfy the needs of all Ghanaians, including the Police Service.

The Commanding Officer of the National Police Training School, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Deborah Addison, expressed her appreciation to the bank for their support and appealed for more corporate involvement in the affairs of the institution.

She said the school was 85 years old and was aging with its facilities, hence the need to replace some of them.

“The Police cannot do it alone and therefore, have to do it in partnership with the corporate world,” she stated.
