Caroline Sampson hosts Ten-To-One on Asaase Radio
Caroline recently left YFM where she had worked for almost a decade and has now pitched camp with Asaase Radio, something that excites CEO of the station, Nana Opoku Agyemang.
“We are thrilled to have Caroline join us, she comes to Asaase with a strong following of her own. She understands the vision of Asaase, which is a pan-Africanist media platform, determined to promote and project the best of Ghanaian and African arts and culture,” he told the Daily Graphic.
“Our programming will be provocative and innovative to push us to be the most valued, reliable, accurate and authoritative multimedia platform in West Africa,” he added.
For her part, Caroline said: “We didn’t come to play so buckle up for the most amazing radio experience you can ever imagine,” promising to blend the best in music from Ghana, Africa and beyond with the best in entertainment titbits.
Asaase Radio, on the 99.5FM dial, will officially be launched on Sunday, June 14, with the main programme of the day being Kwaku Sakyi-Addo’s Sunday Night at 7p.m.
Media journey
Caroline launched her media career first with Atlantis Radio hosting the Continuous Drive and Mellow Cruise. She moved to GTV to host the U-Win Game Show, then subsequently to TV3 hosting Hitz Video.
She joined Citi FM and hosted Room 973 and two other shows, Rhythms in the Citi and Citi Countdown. After two years with Citi, she joined YFM and ETV Ghana and presented YFM’s lunch time show, Shouts On Y.
Caroline has won a number of awards including Best Female Radio Personality at the Ghana Entertainment Awards USA in 2019. She also received The 4TH XWAC-Africa Award of Honour For Media Excellence also in 2019 and won Best Presenter at the Stars Integration of Culture of Africa (SICA) festival and competition held in Benin in 2009.
