Choirmaster hooks up with new song

He outdoored the video of his Catwalk song in December last year, and, Choirmaster  is back to business with the release of a new song titled, Hook Me Up, today.

The song, which was produced by St. Louis in Tema Community 8, is an inspirational piece about the need for people to offer assistance to others when they are on, “top of their game”.

“Life brings us many things and teaches us both good and bad lessons. My journey on this earth has taught me that life can’t always be as we desire but sometimes, no matter the effort you put in your work to succeed, you still need people to link you up with bigger opportunities,” he told Showbiz on Friday.

Hook Me Up is a highlife tune which dwells on the struggles of young people who aspire to succeed in their fields of endeavour. On it, Choirmaster sings about how he had been advised to seek occultic powers to boost his career.

He goes on to say that despite the challenges he is encountering, he has no intention to exchange his religious beliefs as a Christian for stardom. But the solution, he believes, will be to get in touch with some of the influential people in the society to assist him.

When Showbiz asked him if the song reflects what pertains in his life as an artiste, he denied saying he was just being creative as an artiste.

“This is not my own story.  As an artiste, you sometimes serve as a mouthpiece for the masses, so this song is just to encourage such people who find themselves in difficult situations not to give up.

“It is also to tell people at the top to sometimes offer assistance to those at the bottom. That is why I mentioned some names such as Dangote and Kwame Despite as coming to my aid. It is just symbolic of the message I want to send across,” he added.

Currently, Choirmaster is working on coming  out with his second album after his debut Revelations solo album last year which had songs such as Ghana’s Most Beautiful, Saved By Grace among others.
