Kingskid raps for the Lord

He announced his presence three years ago as a gospel rapper and Emmanuel Essuman- Mensah aka Kingskid says his music has motivated more youth to attend church services and dance to the glory of God.

According to Kingskid who is known for hip-hop songs, Made By God, I Got My Jesus, None Like You and He Go Do For You, gospel songs in Ghana are dull and unappealing to the youth hence he wants to make a difference with his music.

“I believe God is not boring. He wants his children to enjoy the rap and everything that glorifies him and that is what I stand for. Most gospel musicians in Ghana prefer to sing songs of sorrow but that is not the type of gospel songs I want to do” a graduate of Central University said.

The rapper who was nominated for Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Unsung Artiste of the Year in 2015 said the youth enjoy his brand of music judging from their reaction anytime he visits churches to perform and that motivates him to always do more rap songs.
