Accra’s entertainment and business industries experience Macallan’s single malt whiskey
A number of Accra’s vibrant entertainment and business industries were hosted to an exclusive three -course dinner and whiskey pairing of the world’s most precious single malt scotch at the Country Club, Trasacco, in Accra recently.
Personalities who graced the occasion included Rashid Mugeez, one-half of popular Ghanaian hip hop group, R2Bees; Zynnell Zuh and Haillie Sumney, actresses; Ruth Quarshie, former Miss Universe Ghana; and Kwadwo Saka Addo-Mensah, Managing Director, Saka Homes, William Osei-Poku, Owner, KOP Engineering Ltd; Philip Ayesu, Chairman, Philip’s Holdings; Joseph Ampofo, Managing Director, Enterprise Trustees Ltd; Cynthia Ofori- Dwumfuo, Group Head of Marketing & Corporate Affairs, Hollard Ghana among others.

Patrons were treated to an appetizing Macallan-infused dinner prepared by the Club’s chef – Bismark Amoako while experiencing the luxury behind world’s most incomparable whisky.
With guidance on the rich history of the brand from The Macallan Brand Ambassador, Lebanon, West, and Central Africa, Sandra Gedeon, the gourmet meals were paired perfectly with the Macallan whisky, as guests enjoyed musical interludes. Titled “The Macallan Experience,” it featured the core Macallan range.
In a presentation, Edrington's Customer Marketing Manager for West & North Africa, Abayomi Ajao said it was a distinguished honour to host individuals who were distinguished in their crafts to experience single-malt whisky.

The Prestige expressions featured at the event included The Macallan M Decanter, The Macallan Reflexion, The Macallan 30-Year-Old DC, 25-Year-Old and Rare Casks, to name a few.
The Macallan Brand Ambassador, for Lebanon, West, and Central Africa, Sandra Gedeon said she was proud to be associated with a brand that has a strong nearly 200-year heritage.
“We need to take a moment to embrace gatherings such as this where we experience The Macallan as a family. With a strong nearly 200-year heritage, we are proud of our commitment to wood. It is a robust and long process from cutting the trees, to drying and seasoning them. All these speak to our attention to detail and excellence. And this is a common trait for everyone in this room,” she said.
There was a whisky pairing, including its rare collection, The Reflexion. It was in line with Macallan’s reputation for quality and craftsmanship, inspired by vital contributing influences of Spain, North America, and Scotland, has made it an incomparable single-malt whiskey since its founding in 1824.
