Another ‘Live Covers’ show here

Fans of music superstar, Rihanna will have the opportunity to enjoy reggae versions of some of her most popular songs at the third edition of Live Covers slated for  tomorrow, October 3,  at  the King Solomon Gardens, Dansoman in Accra.

The monthly Live Covers show was initiated last July by Knii Lante and his Deluge Entertainmentcompany to promote reggae and rebrand it.

At the event, the Big Hills band backs a select group of singers who do reggae versions of a chosen artist’s songs.

The first edition treated music by the late Michael Jackson and the second show was dedicated to Osibisa.

The third programme will handle Rihanna’s material as her music, in Knii Lante’s words, “is well-patronised by a big section of music fans, especially the youth and female populace.”

Rihanna is from Barbados. She has sold over 41 million albums and 150 million songs worldwide, making her one of the best-selling artistes of all time.

She is known for songs such as Umbrella, Take a Bow, Disturbia, S&M, We Found Love, Diamonds and Stay.

Artistes to be featured at the 7.00pm show include Knii Lante, Fiifi Selah, Halixali, AJ Lyricx, Habiba, Naya and Bukom Dancehall.
