Ayeley, Numbu evicted from GMB
The heat is being turned on on TV3’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful(GMB) Season 11.
After getting a four-week reprieve, the contestants faced eviction for the first time last Sunday and it was Greater Accra’s Henrietta Naa Ayeley Mensah and Upper West’s Numbu Shaguffa Pelpuo Adams who were unlucky to sent home.
In their task for the week, the contestants were given an opportunity to bring to life a unique aspect of their culture from their respective regions which people did not know about. They also took part in a fashion show.
Ayeley gave the charged audience a taste of Ga dance, Kolomashie but unfortunately was not able to convince the judges that she had the ability to sell her region.
New judge, actor Oscar Provencal, described her performance as lacklustre. “I didn’t feel it tonight, you could have done better” he said.
Upper West Region’s Numbu also could not lift the flag of the region high and dashed the hopes of people in her region that she could succeed not to talk of succeeding Season 8 winner, Baci.
Though Numbu got thumbs up from long serving judge, Linda Ampah after explaining some of the proverbs from her land and capping it with the Bawa dance, it was not enough to keep her in the house.
The night however belonged to Upper East Region’s Talata who stole the show with her energetic war dance. In addition to receiving the Star Performance award, Talata also earned ahamper from PZ Cussons.
On Sunday, September 24, Edem (Volta); Yaa (Ashanti); Serwaa ( Eastern); Adom ( Brong Ahafo); Baaba (Central); Nana (Western); Talata (Upper East) and Zeinab (Northern) will battle it out to stay in the Most Beautiful House as they take on a new task.
Th is year’s edition is being hosted by Season Six winner, Emefa Adeti and co host of New Day on TV3, Johnnie Beresford Hughes.
