Catholic priests involved in sexual misconduct should be castrated- Bridget Otoo
Outspoken Ghanaian Journalist, Bridget Otoo, has strongly condemned sexual misconducts by some Catholic priests and suggested that such priests 'should be castrated'
In a tweet on Monday, December 4, 2023, she expressed frustration with priests engaging in sexual harassment, particularly targeting young individuals stressing that such acts were ‘ungodly’.

Her recent call is in support of a previous post suggesting that the Catholic Church should allow priests to marry.
However, her proposal aimed at addressing instances of sexual misconduct within the clergy encountered resistance from some netizens.
In the post she wrote: "Can we Catholics also copy others and let our priests marry instead of the immoral lives they are living? Having children, some raping women and sodomizing innocent boys at the altar? That’s not Christlike 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿"
Despite facing criticism, the journalist has now taken a more drastic stance in her latest follow-up post. She is no longer advocating for allowing priests to marry.
Instead, she says culprits should be dealt with in a more critical way if they are not ready to forgo their wayward ways.
She wrote: "I’m sorry for suggesting that Catholic priests be allowed to marry; I was trying to be kind. If they won’t change their pedophilic, sodomizing young boys at the altar, raping women, and having multiple children all over with the church covering it, I suggest we castrate them."
