Dancehall gets loud in Gh

Lovers of dancehall music will be entertained by some of this nation’s  finest exponents of the genre at the next edition of YFM’s  Loud In Gh shows slated for December 24 and  December 25 at the  Kumasi  and Accra sports stadia respectively.

This year’s event, according to the organisers, is aimed at celebrating dancehall music in Ghana and that is why  Samini, Shatta Wale, Kaakie, Jupiter and Stonebwoy are on the bill.

“We believe Ghana is blessed with great dancehall artistes who are doing fantastic stuff.  The selected artistes for this year’s Loud In Gh are about the best one can find here and we believe the audiences in Accra and Kumasi will love them,” Programmes Manager of YFM,   Jay Foley stated.

The maiden edition of Loud In Gh happened in 2011 at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre.  Performances included that of Samini, Becca, 5five, Sarkodie, Eazzy, Trigmatic, VIP, Tinny, Richie, D Black and  Edem.

The second edition was also well-attended and it featured artistes like Kwaw Kese,  Raquel, Trigmatic, Okyeame Kwame, Keche, 4X4, Jay Ghartey, Buk Bak, VIP, Eazzy, Dr Cryme, Tiffany, Sarkodie and R2Bees.
