Death snatches another showbiz personality
As if snatching eight of its members is not enough, death has dealt the entertainment industry yet another tragic blow by laying its icy hands on renowned Gospel music producer, George Forest.

The multiple award winning music producer died in the early hours of Wednesday, August 31 at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi.
The death of Forest brings to nine the number of showbiz personalities who have passed on to glory this year.
They include gospel star Danny Nettey, comedians, Bob Okala and Nkomode, musician Daasebre Gyamera and actors, Solomon Sampah, Kofi Middleton Mends, George Williams and Nii Odoi Mensah.
In an interview with fellow music producer, Buddy Roro, he told Showbiz he spoke to the nephew of George Forest who subsequently confirmed the unfortunate incident.
Buddy Roro, described George Forest as a big uncle who tutored him in the art of music production during their time at Old Tafo, a suburb of Kumasi.
According to Buddy Roro, George Forest has been sick for some time now until his untimely death yesterday.
George Forest who was based in Kumasi, was known for producing most of the biggest gospel as well as some Highlife songs in Ghana.

Some of the artistes he worked with include Nana Acheampong, Akwasi Ampofo Adjei, Nana Aboagye Da Costa, Obaapa Christy, Gifty Osei, Ohemaa Mercy, Philipa Baafi, Cecillia Marfo among others.
According to Buddy Roro, the family of George Forest was still coming to terms with the death and would release an official statement soon. George Forest was survived a wife and children.
