Ga Adangbe youth honours Gasmilla

Hiplife star, Gasmilla was last weekend awarded with a citation from the Ga Adangbe Concern Youth Group for his service, dedication, and commitment to championing the cause of the Ga people.

Gasmilla, real name Milla Joseph Odartey Lamptey, was among a number of prominent personalities who were selected to receive the commendation. 

The ‘telemo’ hit maker  expressed gratitude to the group  and said together with his team, he  was embarking on a five-week beach clean-up exercise to rid the beaches from Chorkor to Nungua off filth. 

“We would be crowning the clean-up exercise with  five concerts featuring artistes Edem, WanLuv the Kubulor, EL, Luther, SrewFace, Bukom Banku, Ayittey Powers and other celebrities,” he said

He advised that the Homowo Festival should be an occasion to reflect on ways to improve the lives of people in the Ga traditional areas.  

“I am using the Homowo as a tool to promote sanitation and cleanliness and to better the community at large. Homowo should not just be about celebration and merry making.

 The occasion should effect change so that we as a people can look back and feel proud of what we were able to achieve during the period,” he said.
