Lil Shaker on the move

He rose to prominence on the music scene last year when he featured on Edem’s Koene song.

Since then, hip-hop artiste, Lil Shaker, has earned for himself recognition for his strong lyrical prowess and rap skills and it was that style he brought to bear on his latest song, Pepper which features Sarkodie.

An Afropop song produced by Mike Mills, Pepper is Lil Shaker’s first song released this year and its success will determine the artiste’s progress on the music scene. 

On Pepper, Lil Shaker talks about how ladies maltreat their guys after all their toils to give them a better life but they end up putting “pepper” in their eyes.

He says the trait, which has become common among young ladies is because every lady wants comfort and material things at the expense of true love which leaves the men broken by Red AdBlocker" href="#">hearted.

He sings in the chorus, “She go show you, she go put pepper in your eyes”, to warn guys to be wary of such women. 

Lil Shaker provides the right measures for guys to put in place to avoid being “used and dumped” by these ladies after milking them of their financial resources.

Lil Shaker is undoubtedly amongst the most creative and dynamic rap artistes currently in the industry. Not only can he boast of prowess in pidgin rap, but also in music production.

A sound producer himself, Lil Shaker, real name, Philip Yaw Akoto Atiemo, believes artistes must appreciate the business aspect of music by building themselves into marketable brands. 

As a known face on the Ghanaian hiphop scene, Lil Shaker is known for songs such as Kotodwe, Handkerchief which featured highlife artiste, Kojo Cue. He also featured on Sarkodie’s Lies and El’s See Me Suffer.
