The bereaved family officially informed the management of Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) about the unfortunate incident last Monday, August 21, 2023.

At the official meeting, the family was represented by Dr Joel Sam (cousin), Dr Richard Bruce Lamptey (cousin) and Mrs Patricia Kwesi-Kumah, elder sister of the deceased, while the company had the Managing Director of GCGL, Ato Afful; the Editor, Graphic, Theophilus Yartey; the Editor, Graphic Showbiz, Ms Adwoa Serwaa Bonsu; the acting Head, Human Resource, Sidney Quartey; Yvonne Aryee, Corporate Communications Unit; Gifty Owusu-Amoah and Kofi Duah, both of Graphic Showbiz.

Mr Afful explained that despite being a leading news outlet, the GCGL platforms did not rush to report on Jayne’s death in line with tradition and custom borne out of respect for the bereaved family.
