Many marketers and their brands have taken advantage of the Kwahu Easter craze not only to advertise their products and services to the many people who troop to the mountains around these times, but most importantly to engage them in the most relevant manner over the years.

There are music events with big name artistes performing in the major Kwahu towns of Obo, Obomeng, Nkawkaw, Nkwatia, Mpraeso, Abetifi, etc. The occasion is also used by marketers to do activations, market storms, product sampling and the like.

This year again many such activities are planned to take place at Kwahu from Friday to Monday and these will include the anticipated big show at Obomeng High Street on Saturday featuring two of the biggest artistes in Ghana today, Sarkodie and Shatta Wale.

It is dubbed the Switch Concert and it is telecom operator, Tigo’s way of taking advantage of the massive turnout at Kwahu to introduce its new campaign to its current and potential customers at Kwahu and who is best to use  than two of the biggest names in hiplife/hiphop and dancehall and the biggest ambassadors of the respective music genres.

Hopefully, Shatta Wale and Sarkodie will be able to show their class to the enjoyment of the revelers at Kwahu when the Switch Concert comes around on Saturday. Other supporting artistes are T-Plow, Assaase Abban and Talent Hunt.

Apart from the Switch Concert with Sarkodie and Shatta Wale, Tigo will also engage in other activities from Thursday till Sunday.

There will be major sales activations from Thursday to Holy Saturday at Obomeng and Mpraeso, there will also be a donation to the Chiefs and people of Obomeng Traditional Council on Friday at Obomeng Chief’s Palace and above all, there will be a big health walk on Sunday from Obomeng High Street through Mpraeso to  Obomeng Presby Park.
