Shatta Wale turns birthday into ‘street party for the masses’

Dancehall king, Shatta Wale, is once again proving that his bond with fans goes beyond music as he plans to celebrate his birthday with a free mega concert at the Independence Square on October 18, 2025.

In what he describes as a “celebration of life, love, and loyalty,” the self-styled SM President announced via social media that the concert, dubbed “Shattafest 2025 x Shattabration,” will be open to all fans  no gate fees, no restrictions, just vibes.

“This year, it’s double the energy, double the celebration! Join me, Shatta Wale, on 18th October at Independence Square for the ultimate SHATTAFEST  my birthday SHATTABRATION with the loyal fans who made it all possible!” he declared in his post.

He urged fans to come dressed in white as a symbol of victory and purity, a signature of his defiant spirit and gratitude to the Shatta Movement family that has stood by him through every controversy and triumph.

“From music to business, to every victory and challenge thank you to all my fans for your endless support in every aspect of my life. Let’s make this one for the history books FREE ENTRY!” the message read.

Known for his unpredictable yet fan-driven style, Shatta Wale’s decision to stage a free birthday concert at such a national landmark is already sparking excitement and debate in entertainment circles.

Either way, Independence Square is expected to turn into a sea of white on October 18, as thousands of fans rally behind the man who has built one of Ghana’s most loyal fanbases — and once again, made his birthday a talking point.
