2027 Grammy nominees to be revealed in November
Nominations for the 2027 Grammy Awards will be announced on November 16, 2026, ahead of the main ceremony scheduled for February 7, 2027, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The Recording Academy confirmed the key dates for the upcoming awards season during the Disney Upfront presentation held in New York on Tuesday, May 12. The awards ceremony will air live on ABC and also stream on Disney+ and Hulu, marking a major broadcast shift for the prestigious music event.
This will be the first time the Grammy Awards will air on ABC since 1972 after more than five decades on CBS. The transition to ABC, Hulu and Disney+ was initially announced in October 2024.
Speaking about the development, CEO of the Recording Academy, Harvey Mason Jr., described the move as the beginning of a “bold new chapter” for the Grammys.
“The Grammys are all about celebrating the music that moves the world,” he said, adding that the organisation was excited about its new broadcasting home and future direction.
The eligibility period for the 2027 edition runs from August 31, 2025, to August 28, 2026, while first-round voting is expected to take place between October 12 and October 22, 2026. Final round voting will run from December 10, 2026, to January 7, 2027.
Organisers are yet to announce the host for the 2027 ceremony. South African-born comedian Trevor Noah hosted the previous six editions of the Grammys.
The Grammy Awards have been held at the Crypto.com Arena — formerly known as Staples Center — for most years since 2000, except for a few editions moved to New York, Las Vegas and other venues due to the COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions.
The 2021 and 2022 shows were moved because of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent variants. The 2021 show was held at the Los Angeles Convention Centre; the 2022 show was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Trevor Noah hosted the last six Grammy telecasts. The Recording Academy has yet to announce the host of the 2027 show.
