NIB now has total paid up capital of GH¢3.4bn – Finance Minister
The National Investment Bank (NIB) has been recapitalised and is now operating with a capital adequacy ratio of 23 per cent, the Finance Minister, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has said.
He said this during the presentation of the 2025 Mid Year Budget Review in Parliament on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

Police arrest 2 suspects including STC Station Manager in connection with Ablekuma North election violence

Bank of Ghana’s guidelines to the shipping industry; placebo or panacea?
On July 22, 2025, the Bank of Ghana issued a formal notice (No. BG/GOV/SEC/2025/47) titled "Guidelines for the application of Exchange Rates by the Shipping Industry in Ghana”.

This section is followed by a long engagement with the alleged scandal around recruitment into the security services and what that means for trust and confidence in the sector. 202 trafficked Ghanaians rescued, repatriated from Nigeria – Foreign Minister

Ghana's mining sector generated US$7.1 billion in mineral revenue, with US$4.9 billion returned to the country through the Bank of Ghana and commercial banks, according to the Ghana Chamber of Mines.

1,504 lives were claimed through road accidents in first half of 2025 – NRSA
Ghana recorded a total of 7,289 road crashes and 1,504 fatalities between January and June 2025, according to provisional data released by the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) in collaboration with the Police Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD).
The report further indicates that 12,354 vehicles were involved in various accidents during the six-month period, resulting in injuries to 8,300 individuals.
