JICA supports schools in Lower Manya Krobo Municipality
The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), in collaboration with the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Education Directorate, has presented medical supplies to six basic schools in the municipality.
It has also trained teachers who are School Health and Environmental Project (SHEP) coordinators in each school on first aid management.

The schools are the Atua St Paul’s Presby Basic School, the Nuaso Anglican Basic School, the Tsledom M/A Basic School, the Samsalo School, the Theresa Memorial School, as well as the Messiah Preparatory School all in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.
The SHEP Coordinator at the Atua St. Paul Presby JHS, Ms Margaret M. Avadzi in an interview said the initiative by JICA had enabled SHEP coordinators to provided quick medical assistance to sick students who would have been sent home for treatment.
