The items included 20 bags of rice, 10 boxes of Indomie, 10 gallons of oil, a bag of sugar and gari each, two bundles of toilet rolls, 100 pounds of beans, 10 bars of key soap and clothes.

A delegation of students and teachers from the school made the donation on behalf of the school.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of  the Roka International School, Mrs Kissiwaa Osei, explained that Easter is a season of love and, therefore, it was reasonable for the pupils and students, as well as the management of the school, to show love to the less privileged children in society.

According to her, the children need to feel at home and be happy. She was very hopeful that the mission of the school management, as well as representatives of the student body, had been achieved by their visit to the home.

The Supervisor of the home, Madam Henrietta Asare-Agyeman, expressed her gratitude to the school management for the gesture, and promised to work to strengthen the bond of friendship that had been established.

Bishop James Saah from the Wonder Cathedral also praised Mrs Osei and the students  for their kind gesture.

According to Bishop Saah, “Indeed, Easter is a time to show love to our neighbours; therefore, one must not be fabulously rich before reaching out to the less privileged.
