Support for Akosa JHS

A US-based Philanthropist, Mr Alfred Kwame Ofori, has presented some educational materials and an undisclosed amount of money to the pupils of the Akosa M/A Junior High School at North Suntreso in Kumasi.

The items included 100 boxes of textbooks, two desktop computers, two lawn mowers, boxes of chalk and 10 tables and chairs for teachers.

The Head teacher of the school, Mrs Cynthia Osei-Poku, thanked Mr Ofori for his assistance and urged those who made similar promises to honour their pledges.

She called on the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to hand over a library facility it had completed for the past three years for the use of the pupils.

The Atwima Gyakyehene, Nana Boakye Ntiri III, who chaired the ceremony, presented a cheque for GH¢500 to support the school.
