According to the Queenmother foreigner from some neighbouring countries including some of the countries whose people have been infected by the Ebola virus participate in the festival.

She said it has therefore become prudent that the festival was postponed till next year, so as not to put the country and its people at risk.

The Ebola disease had killed over one thousand people in Sierra Leon, Liberia, Senegal, Guinea and Nigeria.
