Accreditation for Presidential Inauguration coverage ready for collection

The Ministry of Information (MoI) has announced that press accreditation for the coverage of the presidential inauguration is now ready for pickup.

All journalists, including international press members, who have applied for accreditation are required to collect their passes from the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) office today, January 6, 2025.

A statement signed by Acting Chief Director, Lily Fati Soale, emphasized that: "This accreditation is mandatory for all journalists, photographers, and videographers wishing to cover the event."

"The production of the inauguration ceremony will be centralised to ensure a high quality and seamless broadcast experience. Feed will be supplied to the various television channels," the statement added.

Meanwhile, the ministry says preparations toward the inauguration of the President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, are underway and progressing steadily.
