The CSR award was presented to CCML for its contribution towards the “Be informed, Observe, Speak up and Save lives (BOSS) safety campaign” run by the National Road Safety Commission (NRSC) in Accra at the weekend.

The Head of Communications at NRSC, Mr Kwame Kodua Aduahene, expressed gratitude to CCML for its role in the campaign, saying it was rare to find corporate bodies interested in road safety.

He urged other corporate bodies to come on board to support NRSC in creating road safety awareness.

The Head of Corporate Affairs and Administration of CCML, Mrs Mary Armah, who received the award, said as part of its 35th anniversary celebration this year, CCML decided to partner NRSC to empower passengers to be ambassadors of safety.

She commended NRSC for its passion and dedication towards the BOSS Safety Campaign.

CCML is a microfinance company owned by the Christian Council of Ghana. Its aim is to help improve the finances of churches and sustain their growth.

BOSS is a safety campaign that is aimed at creating road safety awareness for passengers to be more cautious on the roads, especially during the festive season and was launched on October 31, 2014.
