It was on the theme: “Aspirations Engineering to Innovate for Emerging Markets.”

The programme was designed to further develop the knowledge of the school’s graduates, students and the members of the public.

A professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Northeastern University, Dr Gordon Adomdza, who spoke at the session, said since mature markets around the globe were saturated with goods, the fastest growth rates around the world were now being recorded in emerging markets.

According to him,  Africa was poised to power the next phase of global economic growth and as such it behoved multinationals to develop a response to this development.

He pointed out that it was harder to create goals or awaken them in customers in the emerging markets because of the unavailability and unreliability of data.

He said since people aspired to live outside socio-cultural settings of their everyday lives, there was the need to use specific tools to achieve targets.

Dr Adomdza stated that since emerging markets were growing and people were also aspiring to move upwards on the economic ladder, an effective way to meet the needs of customers was to find a model that could cater for their demands.

The event was attended by 40 participants, mainly members of the CEIBS Alumni Association Ghana Chapter as well as CEIBS graduates from other African countries on its Executive MBA Programme and other prospective students with interest to enrol in its Executive MBA Programme.
