Flush out Fulani from our land

The Ashanti Regional Security Council says it is dispatching Security personnel to Ashanti Akyem Agogo in the Ashanti Region.

As it prepares to flush out Fulani herdsman from the area today. Residents of Agogo are said to live in fear following the death of a 27-year old man yesterday.

The latest killing comes a week after the youth of the area issued a warning to all Fulani herdsmen to vacate the place with their cattle or face their wrath.

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Peter Anaafi Mensah who revealed this information to joy news said it is to de-escalate the western security situation in the area.

‘’We have broken them down into great, the immediate, short and long term. The immediate one which starts from today, we are sending down more security men to augment those we already have there. Don’t forget the district security council in the area are still on the ground and the Regional security is sending more men comprising soldiers and the police to the area immediately after this programme. What they are supposed to do there is to protect lives and properties and make sure they drive away the nomadic Fulanis from the place,”he stated.
