Work begins on Adaklu-Wumenu EP University College permanent campus

Work has begun on the permanent campus project of the E.P. University College (EPUC), at Adaklu-Wumenu, near Ho.

The US$ 11 million 124-acre project, which includes the construction of lecture halls and 3,000-bed residential facilities, in addition to various units and roads, is expected to be completed in one year.

The Moderator of the General Assembly of the E.P. Church, Ghana (EPCG), the Rt Rev. Lt Colonel Bliss Divine Kofi Agbeko (retd), who performed the sod cutting at the project site last Tuesday, said the project was in line with the church’s vision to serve God and humanity at all times.

He said one way to pursue that objective was through the education of the people.

The President of the EPUC, Professor Tsatsu Adogla-Bessa, said the new site with residential facilities would boost enrolment and lift EPUC to greater heights.

“This will surely market our university to a wider area in Ghana and far beyond,” he added.

It currently has 833 students pursuing various diploma, degree, post-graduate and certificate programmes.
