She highlighted the theme of the celebration, "PR for value creation," which focuses on ethical communication for peace during election periods.
Ms. Cobbah encouraged IPR members to enhance the value of their profession, promoting public relations as a respected field.
The anniversary celebrations will feature various activities, including community engagement on environmental conservation, educational sessions for students, and an evening of knowledge sharing through humour for IPR members.
The launch coincided with PR Day, and the week has been declared Annual IPR Ghana Week, aimed at showcasing the value of public relations to individuals, organisations, communities, and nations.
“This is an excellent opportunity to further strengthen our Institute, deepen professional bonds, and make a greater impact nationally, continentally, and globally,” Ms. Cobbah stated.
The Deputy Minister of Information Mr. Sylvester Tetteh commended the IPR for upholding standards and providing accurate information throughout Ghana’s development. He noted that the IPR promotes ethical communication and addresses issues peacefully, fostering peace and justice.
